An investigation is underway after police say the same person robbed two elderly women in separate incidents over several days in East Flatbush.
The first incident happened on July 4. Police say the suspect was riding a scooter along Winthrop and East 54th streets in East Flatbush when they allegedly snatched a 79-year-old woman’s purse from her before taking off.
Police say the same suspect struck again on July 7. They say the suspect pushed an 86-year-old woman to the ground in front of 727 Utica Ave., located less than a half mile away from the first crime scene.
The suspect then stole $10 from her handbag before running off. The woman was treated for minor injuries.
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to call them.
