A man is wanted for stealing cellphones from women who were waiting for their trains on the subway.

Police say the first incident happened on Jan. 11 just before 5 p.m. at the Burnside Avenue subway station. The thief snatched a cellphone from a 41-year-old woman’s hand as she stood on the southbound 4 train platform.

The next day, at the Tremont Avenue subway station just before 7 p.m., the thief snatched another 41-year-old woman’s cellphone from her hand while she was standing at the bottom of the staircase of the B and D line.
