Cops are asking for help finding a man who they say stole from a 67-year-old woman's bank account in Sheepshead Bay.
According to police, the suspect looked over the victim's shoulder as she typed in her ATM PIN at an HSBC Bank on Kings Highway and East 16th Street. It happened at around 3:30 p.m. back on Nov. 9.
They say the woman didn't log off when she walked away from the machine, giving the suspect time to retype her PIN and withdraw $500.
Investigators released images of the man taken from the bank and ATM cameras. He's described as being 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds with braided hair.
Police are also reminding everyone to be vigilant when using an ATM, especially during the holiday season. They recommend covering up the keyboard with your free hand when typing in your PIN.
