Commuters are bracing for a potential traffic nightmare on the Brooklyn Bridge this weekend.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) says the entire Manhattan-bound side of the bridge will be shut down while crews repair two lanes on an off-ramp. The closures will take effect at midnight and last until 6 a.m. Monday morning.
As an alternative, drivers can pay a toll and take the Battery Tunnel, or brave the traffic on other bridges. Officials say the best bet is to use mass transit.
