2ds agoMarch Madness brought people from all over the tristate area to watch the intense game between Northwestern and UCONN at the Barclays Center on Sunday night.
Fans cheered on their team, and booed the other, but one thing was for sure: They wanted their team to win.
"I'm a UConn fan, my dad has been a UConn fan my whole life," a UConn fan told News 12. "I've always wanted to go to a March Madness game and now it's here."
Thousands came to support their favorite teams for a number of reasons, whether their loved ones go to that school — or they simply wanted to have a fun at Barclays.
In the end, UConn defeated Northwestern 75-58.
