The Marcy Library reopened its doors Monday after an 18-month, $1.5 million renovation.
In addition to aesthetic improvements, the library will also have seven new computers with internet access and a functioning air conditioning system.
Councilman Robert Cornegy reaffirmed its value to the community, saying, “A lot of adults come here for adult literacy classes as well as resume writing and all those kind of things so this is a critical function.”
