Mayor Adams' office, emergency officials issue a travel advisory for Sunday with storms approaching
The Mayor’s office and New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM) are advising New Yorkers to prepare for a coastal storm that is bringing heavy rain, damaging winds and coastal flooding.
They say residents, especially those in low-lying and flood-prone areas, should take extra precautions by securing loose outdoor items and clearing debris in catch basins. Also, if traveling, allow for extra travel time and drive slowly.
