New gun laws designed to reduce risk in Times Square were signed by Mayor Eric Adams on Tuesday.
Adams signed "Intro 518-A," which prohibits concealed carry permit holders from bringing their firearms within the "Times Square sensitive location."
He also signed "Intro 602-A," which designates the new boundaries of that sensitive location.
The signings come just one day after the attorney general's office filed a request for a federal court to allow the state to ban guns in public places, including "gun-free zones" like Times Square.
