The city has reached an agreement with teachers' and principals' unions that requires all staff at two struggling high schools to reapply for their jobs.
Teachers from Boys and Girls High School and Automotive High School in Brooklyn will have to submit their resumes and sit through interviews if they want to keep their jobs.
According to the Daily News, only 5 percent of Boys and Girls High School seniors were considered ready for college or careers in 2013.
The move comes as part of Mayor Bill de Blasio's plan to improve 94 struggling schools.
The last time city officials made teachers reapply for their jobs was in 2012 when 24 city schools were forced to do the same.
