2ds agoThe medical examiner has ruled the October death of a newborn to be a homicide.
Police responded to a 911 call of a past assault on Oct. 24 at NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln. Officers met a 17-year-old female who said she had previously given birth to the child at her 158th Street apartment. Authorities say further investigation showed she had discarded the 1-day-old child out of a fifth-floor window.
The child was found at the scene and pronounced dead.
There have not been any arrests yet.
