Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams brought the Brooklyn Heights community together Tuesday night to discuss the sale of the Brooklyn Heights Library and the building of a new high rise over it.
Community Board 2 recently voted to go forward with the proposed project, but not everyone is on board.
The group Build Up NYC was on hand to state that the project should not move forward unless there is an agreement to create good jobs.
The library defends its plans to sell, saying the facility is in need of repair.
The proposal will now be considered by the office of the borough president.
