Residents in the Melrose section of the Bronx say there is nowhere to park due to illegal dumping near Brook Avenue and 161st Street.
Residents say piled up trash bags and newly installed “no standing” signs are affecting their quality of life.
They also said they are frustrated by NYPD officers from the 42nd Precinct who park their personal vehicles in the no standing zones, while they are forced to park several blocks away from their building.
The NYPD told News 12 that members of the 42nd Precinct have been instructed not to park in those areas.
