The streets of Canarsie now bear the memorial of 14-year-old Christian Antoine, who lost his life Saturday after being struck and killed by a speeding car.
Christian Antoine's three older siblings came together to commemorate their younger brother's life as they lit candles and placed flowers near the scene where he was struck on E. 81st Street.
Police say that the Mercedez-Benz that struck Antoine was speeding and being driven by an unlicensed driver who was trying to go past a double-parked car. That car struck a GMC pickup truck and caused the Mercedez-Benz to roll - which it did, into Antoine.
Pieces of the vehicle involved in the accident are still on the street just feet away from his memorial.
