Mets fans who gathered at Main Event in Plainview Saturday hoped for a much-needed win after the team's Friday night lost in their post-season start.
This was the first time the team played in a post season game in six years.
Friday night’s game was rough for the Mets as the Padres scored seven hits -- four of them were home runs while Mets pitcher Max Scherzer was on the mound.
The pressure was on Jacob deGrom on Saturday night to keep the Mets alive in the post season.
The Mets would go on to defeat the Padres 7-3, tying the three-game series to one apiece. Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday night.
