Midwood field could open to the public
Councilman David Greenfield is looking to open an underutilized block of green space in Midwood to the public.
Greenfield says the field is mostly used for the Midwood High School football practices. Private groups are able to rent the space out, but residents are not.
The councilman says it is more cost effective to open the park space to the public rather than to create a new park.
He says construction could take over a year and a half and he is willing to find money in the budget to make his proposal a reality.
