A school in Midwood is celebrating its 100th anniversary today.
P.S. 99 opened its door September of 1912.
Many alumni say what makes this school so special is the feeling of family, and that the school goes from kindergarten up to 8th grade, giving students a longer time to bond with friends and teachers.
