Proud senior citizens of Jewish heritage marched in a pro-Israel parade in Midwood Tuesday.
The marchers, from the Ateret Senior Residence on East 10th Street, sang Hebrew songs for the annual Salute to Israel parade.
A married man and woman told News 12 they met in Israel decades ago and wanted to spread their love for the Israeli state.
"There were bad times, but now we are sitting here," said Menachem Koclowski, a Holocaust survivor. "We are having good times. We are in a good place."
Every year, there is a larger Salute to Israel parade in Manhattan, but the Midwood seniors started their own seven years ago.
