It will be a sunny and warm Tuesday ahead of some rain toward the middle and end of the week.

News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Sam Augeri says rain arrives by Wednesday evening with the chance for some heavy rain for early Thursday.

Some of the rain could be just east of Long Island for much of the day, but wet weather continues through Thursday evening and early Friday.

It will be mostly cloudy before better weather ahead for the weekend.
