A 10-year-old boy is back home with his family after going missing from his Bushwick school.
According to police, Wilmin Torres walked out of P.S. 75 on Grove Street Wednesday morning.
Parents at the school say they're upset over the school's lack of protection and want to see more security measures put in place to prevent similar situations in the future.
The Department of Education says it's in the process of evaluating any security needs to comply with Avonte's Law.
Avonte's Law was put in place after autistic teen Avonte Oquendo ran out of his Queens school and was later found dead. The legislation requires all city elementary schools and schools with special needs programs to evaluate the need for door alarms.
