Community Health Center in Stamford is just one of around a dozen locations where the monkeypox vaccine will be available starting today for those eligible.
Officials with the CDC announced there were 33 confirmed cases of monkeypox in Connecticut.
Officials are stressing vaccines are not available on a walk-in basis.
Appointments must be made by contacting the clinics directly.
Officials say those eligible for the vaccine include: people identified by the state and local health departments as being close contacts to someone who has tested positive for monkeypox, men who have sex with men, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender non-conforming or gender non-binary, are 18 or older, and have had multiple or anonymous sex partners in the last 14 days.
