Brooklyn residents are proving they will ?never forget? the victims of Sept. 11 through a variety of memorial tributes planned throughout the week.
The Russian community gathered Sunday for a vigil at Asser Levy Park. Residents lit candles and placed flowers near a commemorative plaque honoring Russian victims of the attack.
Elsewhere in Brooklyn, Boy Scouts took to the street with flags and banners for the Freedom Walk.
?Boy Scouts are naturally patriotic. We carry our flags everywhere we go,? said one scout.
Other tribute services are expected to take place throughout Brooklyn and the rest of the city in the coming days.
