You might have dreams of being in Times Square to ring in the new year, but numbers show that most don’t!
Three out of four Americans will stay home for the holiday due to costs.
A William Paterson professor says if you want music food and drinks for your New Year’s Eve celebrations, you could be paying $200-$500.
“Consumers in the United States are very resilient, if you are to compare what you paid last year to this year in the same amount same products, inflation is 2.7% higher,” says Alex Panayides, a William Paterson finance professor.
That’s higher than the Federal Reserve’s goal of 2%, but not nearly as bad as the 10% figures Americans endured in recent years.
