Mother's Day is a day dedicated to moms, but for Bronx florists, it also generates a big boost in business.
According to Jerome Florist owner Louis Mahoney, the holiday is the busiest of the year, beating out both Valentine's Day and Christmas.
Mahoney says the shop takes at least two weeks to prepare for the day as people line up to get the best flowers, cards and treats for their special women.
