Mothers turn in teen girls accused in Brooklyn train platform attack on 78-year-old

Two teenage girls accused of attacking a 78-year-old woman were turned in to police by their mothers Friday.
The girls, ages 15 and 16, were on the southbound C train around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Police say they attacked the woman after she asked one of the girls to move their feet so she could sit down.
After the victim got off and exited the Franklin Avenue station, police say the girls followed her and then assaulted her. The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital and treated for her injuries.
Police say the suspects have not yet been charged. Their names have not been released.
