A 39-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a car crash Wednesday morning in Bohemia.

Suffolk County Police say Daniel Javurek was riding his motorcycle northbound on Lakeland Avenue when a 41-year-old was attempting to make a left turn onto the same roadway southbound and collided.

Javurek, of Sayville, was taken to NYU Langone-Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Nicole Melfi, of Bohemia, had injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The crash shut down roads earlier in the day.

Police say an investigation is underway.

Both vehicles were impounded.
