After a rash of violence in Mott Haven, one man has set out to raise awareness about illegal guns with the creation of a new museum. The museum is being called The Illegal Gun Museum of Death, featuring blown-up news articles of people killed by gun violence. Museum founder Wallace Hasan blew up the stories of victims like Samantha Guzman, the 17-year-old gunned down on Mother?s Day, and 2-year-old David Pacheco Jr. who was killed in his car seat by a stray bullet on Easter.Hasan says he hopes the museum will force Bronx residents to take a look at the violence that has begun to define their community. He says he plans to keep the museum open forever, or for as long as it takes to make a difference.
