A Mount Vernon teen crashed into a wall Thursday night while riding an ATV.
Officials say the 19-year-old suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. The teen was taken to a hospital.
A nearby homeowner said a local group of teens have been recklessly riding ATVs around the neighborhood day and night, causing excessive noise and posing a danger to residents. The homeowners say they feel police are doing nothing about it.
"We need more police patrolling our neighborhoods and also they need to be more crackdown on these ATV operators," said one neighbor.
Mount Vernon police say it's their policy to not pursue someone actively riding an ATV or motorbike through traffic, but they can impound them if they are parked.
