An MTA bus struck and killed a woman in Sheepshead Bay Monday evening, according to authorities.
The victim, a 62-year-old woman, was walking at Avenue Z and East 17th Street around 6 p.m.
The woman suffered a head injury when the bus hit her at the intersection, and she lost consciousness.
Investigators say she died at Coney Island Hospital a short while later.
This marks the third recent pedestrian death in an MTA bus accident.
Last month, a 41-year-old woman was fatally struck by another bus in Midwood. Also in November, a bus driver was arrested after allegedly hitting and killing a 70-year-old woman in Ocean Hill in a hit-and-run.
