Commuters who use MTA services are dealing with the agency's latest fare hike. The hike, which went into effect Sunday, raises the base fare for subway and bus rides to $2.75 -- a 25-cent increase.

Commuters who use MTA services are dealing with the agency's latest fare hike.
The hike, which went into effect Sunday, raises the base fare for subway and bus rides to $2.75 -- a 25-cent increase.
The seven-day pass went up $1 to $31, and the unlimited monthly pass hit $116.50, about $4 more than before. The hike also affects tolls to cross several bridges.
The MTA says that another fare hike is likely to occur in 2017.
