MTA commuters deal with latest fare hike

The hike, which went into effect Sunday, raises the base fare for subway and bus rides to $2.75 -- a 25-cent increase.
The seven-day pass went up $1 to $31, and the unlimited monthly pass hit $116.50, about $4 more than before. The hike also affects tolls to cross several bridges.
The MTA says that another fare hike is likely to occur in 2017.
