A week after the MTA rolled out its new BX 12 select bus service, it?s contending with problems brought out by News 12 The Bronx viewers.

Some complained about the relocation of a local stop from one side of the Grand Concourse to the other. They say riders are now forced to cross a busy intersection to get to the stop. MTA Project Manager Ted Orosz says the MTA is considering adding another stop east of the concourse.

Riders say on wet days they have to stand in the mud at the local stop at Williamsbridge Road and Pelham Parkway. The stop is not wheelchair accessible. The MTA told News 12 The Bronx it?s considering extending a concrete area to include the local stop as well.

The MTA also says it will replace English-only instructional signs with dual-language ones to help Spanish-speaking riders understand how the new payment process works. The new system has riders paying for tickets at the bus stops.

The MTA didn't give an exact timeline as to when the improvements will be made.
