The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is going pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The agency says that not only will it encourage commuters to get screened and take preventative measures against breast cancer, but it will also be raising awareness by donning pink patches on uniforms.
"The MTA is giving out ribbons to raise awareness about breast cancer on Breast Cancer Awareness Month," said MTA CEO Janno Lieber. "We're taking advantage of the lighting system to show pink... you're going to see it in the lighting."
