The New York City subway system is becoming less punctual, according to new statistics.
The MTA says that about 25 percent of all trains were at least five minutes behind schedule between October 2013 and October 2014, which is up six-percent from the previous 12 months.
The agency added that on average, there were more than 41,000 delays each month, a 51-percent jump from the year before.
Transit officials cited increased ridership, platform crowding, and more construction and maintenance projects as reasons for some of the problems.
