The MTA Roadeo was back on Saturday at Orchard Beach after being on hiatus for six years.
Four teams of bus employees competed in the Bus Tug – putting their strength and teamwork to the ultimate test by pulling a 40-foot, 31,000-pound bus.
Other activities at the rodeo include a timed obstacle course and a mechanical competition.
"It’s a friendly competition among our maintenance team and bus operators to see who’s the best of the best," said MTA President Richard Davey.
The winners of Saturday’s event will go on to compete at the national American Public Transportation Association Roadeo.
