Eight people were injured in a fire in Brownsville.

FDNY says that the call came in around 5 a.m. for a fire on the first floor of a building on Lott Avenue. Over 100 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene.

Two people were seriously injured while six people sustained minor injuries. All eight were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
