Police continue to investigate a shooting in Bushwick that killed one person and injured two others.
They say the shooting occurred Tuesday at around 8 a.m. when three men were trying to break into a car outside a mechanic shop on Grattan Street and Knickerbocker Avenue.
Michael Matusiak, 53, and his coworker Derek Robinson, 57, came outside and saw the suspects, according to officials. Matusiak was shot in his upper torso and pronounced dead at the scene. Robinson was injured, as was a 13-year-old girl on her way to school. Robinson and the girl are in stable condition.
Family and friends of the victims gathered at the scene Tuesday.
Police have released the photo of a man wanted for questioning who they're hoping to identify. A surveillance video released Tuesday shows a different suspect police are also searching for. Investigators say that suspect is a Hispanic man with a medium build wearing a multicolored-hooded jacket, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-8477.
