Police have made an arrest after three teenage girls were stabbed and slashed inside a Dollar Tree in East New York.
Officers responded to a call of multiple people stabbed inside 817 Van Siclen Ave. at 8:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they found a 13-year-old girl with multiple stab wounds to her abdomen. Another 15-year-old girl was also found with a stab wound on her abdomen, and a 16-year-old girl was slashed in her left arm.
Both the 13-year-old and 15-year-old girls were transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital where they are expected to recover. The 16-year-old girl was treated by EMS on scene and is also expected to be OK.
Police took Viola Bouyer, 44, into custody at the scene. She is now facing charges for assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
This incident was just a few minutes apart and less than three blocks away from where a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot.
