A new tool offers a solution to Muni-Meter receipts flipping over on car dashboards and causing drivers to get tickets.
The Muni-Meter receipt holder is designed to hold and prevent the thin paper receipts from turning over in the wind after a car door closes.
Drivers can either place the device on their dashboard for a heavier sturdy hold or glue it on.
Assemblyman Dov Hikind joined together with the DOT to make the holders available.
Hikind says that he's been approached by many people who have been dealing with this problem and have gotten fines up to $70 for the simple flip of a receipt.
Residents can pick up a free holder at Hikind's office
Hikind hopes other lawmakers will pass the devices out to residents in their respective areas.
