State police are searching Monday for the killer of a Brownsville woman whose body was found decomposing in a suitcase on Long Island.
The body of Tanya Rush was found on the side of the Southern State Parkway in North Bellmore Friday. A memorial has been set up in the lobby of Rush?s Van Dyke Houses building.
Friends say Rush lived in the building with her boyfriend and three daughters. They say she had no enemies and was always kind, considerate and willing to help others.
One of Rush?s longtime friends did say that she had a drug problem in the past, but was recently clean.
Anyone with information on Rush?s death is asked to call state police at (631) 756-3300.
