Nassau neighbors say their street hasn't been repaved since the 1970s
A resident tells News 12 that she's lived on Duncan Court for more than 60 years and that it's not been fully repaved since the 1970s.

People living on Duncan Court in Wantagh tells News 12 that the condition of their street isn't just poor, it's dangerous.
"We can't obviously walk across the street, it's very difficult, people have fallen, people are getting flat tires, kids can't ride their bikes on the street. It's just a shame, the amount of taxes that we're all paying, and this 11-house block can't get a new street." said Wendi Games.
Games tells News 12 that she's lived on Duncan Court for more than 60 years and that it's not been fully repaved since the 1970s.
She says the road has been patched up over the years, but when the snow plows come, she says everything gets ripped back up.
In a statement to News 12, Brian Devine, the director of communications for the Town of Hempstead said, "The Town of Hempstead has dramatically increased the amount of roadway repaved each year and we are on track to surpass the more than 100 miles of roadway we repaved in 2024. Duncan Court is slated for a new valley gutter this year and a full Mill and Pave next year."
