The "weigh-in" for this year's Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest was held Friday at Borough Hall as the Fourth of July weekend festivities officially get underway.
On Monday, July 4, thousands will gather in Coney Island for one of the nation's most famous competitive eating events in which men and women race to eat the most hot dogs in 10 minutes.
Matt Stonie last year won the men's contest by downing 62 dogs. Former champ Joey Chestnut broke his own record last week by eating 73.
On the women's side, Miko Sudo says she plans to win her third-straight title.
This year's contest will be held amid Nathan's 100th anniversary.
