Feral cats have taken over a Brooklyn beach, and some neighbors fear that a recent declaration will put the cats' lives in danger.
For years, Bay Ridge resident Carolyn Euvino has been coming to Plumb Beach to feed the 33 stray cats, spending about $30,000 in the process.
Recently, signs from the National Park Service have gone up, saying the cats must go by month's end.
Euvino says she is giving a voice to the cats by helping them, and fears they will be taken to a shelter where they'll be put down.
News 12 reached out the National Park Service for comment, but no response was given.
