Feral cats have taken over a Brooklyn beach, and some neighbors taking care of them may need to say goodbye soon.
The colony of 33 cats has taken residence at Plumb Beach for the past 11 years. One Bay Ridge resident Carolyn Euvino has spent about $30,000 caring for them.
Recently, signs went up from the National Park Service saying the cats have to go by the end of the month. Euvino says she fears they will be taken to a kill shelter.
News 12 reached out to the National Park Service to find out more about the signs and where the cats might be going. They have yet to return calls.
