New data shows number of firefighters who died from post-9/11 illness nearing number who died on Sept. 11, 2001

Over 300 firefighters lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 responding and aiding Americans in the terror attacks, but new data reveals the ongoing impact of those attacks on those who initially survived. 
New data reveals that nearly the same number of firefighters have died from post-9/11 illnesses as those who lost their lives on that day 22 years ago. The number of firefighters who lost their lives due to post-9/11 illness now sits at 341, with each of their names on display along the FDNY World Trade CEnter Memorial Wall.
