Eight unique new high schools will be coming to three different campuses throughout Brooklyn. Principals and educators appeared in front of the New York Department of Education (DOE) to begin planning for the new schools. The South Shore High School will welcome four new schools including the Brooklyn Generation School, the Brooklyn Theater Arts High School, the Victory Collegiate High School and the Brooklyn Bridge Academy. The Lafayette Campus will take on the Expeditionary Learning School for Community Leaders Life and the Academy High School for Film and Music. The two schools opening on Tilden?s campus are the It Takes a Village Academy and theKurt Hahn Expeditionary Learning School. Officials say there is still more room for additional schools in the future. DOE officials say new high school choice forms have been given to guidance counselors throughout the borough.
