U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger has announced Dunn Meadow Pharmacy in Fort Lee illegally distributed prescription opioids and gave kickbacks to health care providers.
The pharmacy admitted to mailing controlled substances such as fentanyl to patients across the country, and filling prescriptions early or for illegitimate reasons.
They had contracts with pharmaceutical companies that sold fentanyl medications to receive payments.
The pharmacy settled to resolve their violations, agreeing to pay $50 million over the next five years.
