Bedford-Stuyvesant residents are welcoming the addition of a new, low-income housing development in their area. The Madison-Putnam Apartments officially opened today. It's a 48-unit development for low-income families that cost $15 million to build. The project was completed with financial support from the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, East Brooklyn Congregations, the State of New York Mortgage Agency and PNC Bank.
