A new luxury development is making waves in Carroll Gardens. Society Brooklyn, the latest project development from Property Markets Group, features two striking towers next to the iconic Gowanus Canal, both designed to blend upscale living with the neighborhood’s signature local charm.

Located at 500 Degraw Street and 504 Sackett St., the buildings include 517 residential units with 25% designated as affordable housing, and offer residents breathtaking balcony views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

“There’s a ton of mom-and-pop shops, and you have a lot of local long-time retailers who have been here. It really gives you that homey Brooklyn sense,” said Andrew Barrocas, CEO of MNS.

Since its May opening, nearly 50% of the units have already been leased. Residents say that they enjoy direct access to the neighborhood's nostalgic charm, and a thriving local business community. “We wanted the kind of tree-lined streets with the old historic neighborhood feeling. We can go to the local coffee shops and restaurants,” said Ellie Johnson, a new resident.

The development offers a wide range of modern amenities, including Brooklyn’s largest co-working space in a building, a pool, fitness center, lounges, and outdoor firepits. Warman notes that the property was designed with community in mind.

“[We have a] kids playroom, lounges, outdoor spaces, firepits, lots of greenery - tons of outdoor amenities,” he said.

For many residents, the experience of living at Society Brooklyn still feels surreal. “It blew my mind. It’s amazing; just walking in here feels like I’m in a movie,” said resident LaQuan Hailey.

Society Brooklyn’s blend of modern luxury and local connection makes it one of the most talked-about new developments in the borough. An open house will be held this Saturday, giving prospective residents the chance to experience the property firsthand.
