A new study by the Center for an Urban Future shows that much of that culture is coming from immigrant-run businesses and their success is surpassing the native-born Americans in business and job growth. It shows incoming businesses have created thousands of jobs for Brooklyn residents.The Brighton Beach area was originally known to its Russian immigrants as Little Odessa by the Sea. Brighton Beach is also home to the borough?s oldest business improvement districts.
