The community celebrated a new trail in Marine Park Sunday.

The new trail, which is a little more than 3 miles, starts at Gerritsen Avenue and Seba Avenue.

Rhe project has been underway for the last three years, and allows visitors to get down to the water safely.

Part of the project also included planting thousands of trees and removing 14 illegally dumped cars.
