Southwest Airlines is letting flyers know that for the New Year's weekend, many of the chaotic delays and cancellations that Christmas travelers faced won't be a problem.
After eight days of consistent travel chaos, Southwest Airlines says they're finally expecting normal flight schedules for Friday.
The airline released a statement on their website apologizing to the hundreds of thousands of customers, employees and families inconvenienced by this meltdown.
Many travelers were without luggage and even missed the holidays with their family. U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg says that apology means nothing without action.
